Cartoosh is a London-based drama and film production company, British- and Egyptian-led, with strong connections across the Arab world.

Built on the founding team’s experience with global players including Disney, Netflix, Shahid and others, we develop bold, character-driven stories rooted in the UK and across the Mediterranean—made for British audiences and beyond.

We breathe entertainment, but glorify art. Our work is shaped by classic cinema and prestige television, alongside a fluency in contemporary formats and evolving viewing habits.

Our influences span The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, The Wire and Mad Men, as well as Korean and Chinese vertical romance dramas discovered on our phones late at night.

Raised on 2001: A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner, The Terminator and The Matrix, we exhausted our AI nightmares early—and now embrace artificial intelligence as a creative tool rather than a threat.
